Art at Home
It has certainly been a challenging time for all of us these last few months. Some people are mourning the loss of family and friends….other folks are challenged with virtual education for their children and keeping them actively engaged…and yet others are managing the loss of a job and financial distress… truly unprecedented times. And each day seems to present new situations like we have never had to deal with before. During this time, it is so important to manage our physical and mental health and, if you are up to it, art can be a stress reliever and healer. “Me” time is important for yourself. This can be a time to create art at home that is just for you and provides an emotional release.
Engaging kids at home in activities is so important too. I don’t have any children at home, but can just imagine that you may be running out of ideas of things to do together.
One thoughtful person, Patricia Hill contacted me and offered to share some resources that you can use to find ideas to engage the whole family. Patricia Hill, an Educator, knew she wanted to be a teacher from the time she was in elementary school. Along with a few of her colleagues, she created EducatorTools.info to offer helpful resources and inspiration to both established and aspiring educators. When she’s not in the classroom, she enjoys trail running and working on her skills as an outdoor photographer.
